The heating was a definite plus. despite being located behind the office and next to the front door, the convenience of accessibility was welcome, though it did bring some noise from people coming and going.

The room had only one window, making it feel a bit dark. This minor issue slightly detracted from the overall ambiance, but it didn't overshadow my overall positive experience.

the venue is homey, with excellent food and ideal location in a stately old residence. very courteous and exceptionally nice staff interactions. great breakfast, a good choice of options available.

The apartment is attractive with lovely furnishings, very comfortable beds and a great view.

The grand room, reminiscent of the 1800s, offered a stunning view of the city, including the lovely parks and gardens nearby. The staff were attentive and made us feel valued, accommodating our needs flawlessly. While the lack of a hot breakfast was a minor setback, the atmosphere and relaxing surroundings made family bonding effortless. It's an ideal spot for exploring local landmarks like the Cataract Gorge and City Park, and we can't wait to return!

The room was gorgeous, 4 poster bed, beautiful antique furniture and a spa in the sunroom/balcony overlooking Launceston. Just beautifully appointed, 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. The lady in reception was friendly and helpful, and I will come back to this hotel next time I come to Tassie for a Hawks game.

I was eager to visit City Park during my trip to Launceston, as I've heard so much about its beauty and tranquility. That's why I chose the Waratah for my stay, and I was pleasantly surprised by the warm, professional service and free off-street parking they provided. The charming atmosphere and stylish decor catered to my needs as a traveler.

There are some stairs to navigate to reach the rooms, which may not be ideal for elderly guests.

I really enjoyed very pretty and exceptionally good room here.

The breakfast was satisfactory and included. I booked a room with a lovely bed, it's own balcony and tea/coffee.

The breakfast at Waratah On York was delicious and offered a variety of options like cereals and juice. the hotel's location is fantastic, being close to popular attractions like Boags brewery, shops, the river, park.

The Hotel Manager was just so lovely and we felt very welcome. It didn't feel like a hotel or a b&b it was just very comfortable and welcoming like being a member of the family.

The breakfast here is delicious and offers a great selection of options in a nicely decorated and tidy space.

very well presented hotel; manager most obliging and could not be more helpful. We even got her from her home on Friday night when we mucked up the TV/Video and she was most obliging. Excellent location; just 7 min walk from town centre. Lots of period features in rooms and comfortable bed and spa in bathroom.

Not exactly a complaint but as well as the self service available breakfast (usual cereal/fruit/toat) there is a cooked breakfast. Well it was OK but certainly not the high point of an otherwise excellent stay at this heritage hotel.

The location of this place is very convenient, close to attractions, restaurants, and a supermarket; I was pleased with the Avenue Restaurant, which was a short walk away and had delicious food.

Outstanding staff, with breathtaking views overlooking the town. the rooms are incredibly stunning, complete with a balcony, cozy lounge, and even an iron for your convenience. 👌
